Project Overview
Google Merchant Center is the backbone of successful eCommerce advertising, allowing businesses to showcase their products across Google Search, Shopping, and other surfaces. In this project, I worked with a mid-sized online retailer to fully optimize and manage their Google Merchant Center, ensuring their products were approved, visible, and converting effectively.
Objectives
The primary goals of the campaign included:

Ensure all product data was accurate, complete, and compliant with Google’s policies for maximum visibility.
- Increase Product Visibility on Google
Display the client’s products on Google Shopping and across Google surfaces with full eligibility.
- Fix Disapprovals and Errors
Identify and resolve feed issues, such as missing GTINs, policy violations, or miscategorized items.
- Boost Sales through Smart Shopping Campaigns
Align Google Merchant Center with Google Ads for automated bidding, remarketing, and dynamic product ads.
- Ensure Seamless Sync with Website
Guarantee real-time updates between the eCommerce store and the Google feed to prevent data mismatch.

- Merchant Center Setup & Verification
Created and verified the Merchant Center account, linked it to Google Ads, and claimed the website.
- Product Feed Creation & Management
Uploaded and optimized product data via Content API and Google Sheets for clean, structured, and policy-compliant listings.
- Error Resolution & Policy Compliance
Audited the account weekly to detect errors or disapprovals and implemented fixes quickly to maintain account health.
- Smart Shopping Campaign Integration
Linked Merchant Center with Google Ads to run Smart Shopping campaigns that combined automation with performance insights.

Set up feed rules to dynamically adjust titles, categories, and attributes for better targeting.
